Romain Nosbaum was born in Switzerland. He started the piano at the age of 7. Among his teachers were Michèle Ries, Alexander Müllenbach, Peter Efler, Rada Petkova, Emile Naoumov, Mikhail Faerman, André Dumortier, Norman Shetler, Marie-Paule Aboulker, Gerard Wyss and Norman Shetler (Salzburg). Romain Nosbaum performed all over Europe and Russia, as a soloist and more often as a brilliant chamber music partner. (Festival Bourglinster, Festival de Wiltz, Luxemburg Festival, etc)

Beside the romantic solo repertoire, he shows a particular affection for the "Lied" and the french "mélodie".
